Casey Jones State Trail
The Casey Jones State Trail consists of three segments. The longest is 13 miles between the city of Pipestone and the Pipestone/Murray county line. Five miles of the segment is paved and eight are natural surfaced. The second, small natural-surfaced segment runs west 1.5 miles from the city of Lake Wilson. The third is a 6 mile paved lop between Lake Shetek State Park and the city of Currie. The trail connects tallgrass prairie, wooded ravines, and Lake Shetek.

- 1st seg 13 mi natural-surfaced railbed between Pipestone and Pipestone/Murray county line. 2nd section is a natural-surfaced runs west 1.5 mi from Lake Wilson. 3rd section 6 mi paved loop between Lake Shetek SP and Currie.
- Remnants of tall-grass, prairie, wooded ravines, glacial landscape and vast agricultural landscapes. It is truly the "heartland" of Minnesota.
