Howl for the Minnesota Timberwolves
Men’s pro basketball draws a crowd to the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis from October to April. The Minnesota Timberwolves—also known as the T-Wolves—debuted as an NBA team in 1989. The Minnesota basketball franchise ended the dry spell in effect since the Minnesota Lakers left for Los Angeles in 1960.
The Timberwolves have had an impressive roster of players throughout the years, including previous standouts Kevin Garnett and Stephon Marbury and current team member and All-Star Kevin Love. The team has had 8 playoff appearances and they won the Midwest Division Title in 2004. The Timberwolves’ sister team, the Minnesota Lynx, plays from spring to fall at the Target Center.
