St. Paul Saints Pitch Fun to Baseball Fans
The Saints suggest that you BYOF (bring your own fun) to Midway Stadium for outdoor baseball. But rest assured that plenty of fun will be provided. Bill Murray is a co-owner and “team psychologist,” and undoubtedly an influence.
In addition to cheering on the team, fans are treated to between-inning entertainment including sumo wrestling, karaoke, and tire races for kids. A live pig delivers baseballs to the umpire. A nun offers massages. A slew of characters works the crowd, including Super Fan, St. Carol the face painter, and international ambassador of fun Seigo Masubuchi. Tickets start at $5 ($4 for youth and seniors). At other price levels, tickets buy views from a hot tub, a private air-conditioned suite, a party deck, or a mini-lodge. Friday evening home game ticket options include post-game fireworks. Tailgating is encouraged, whether you bring your own and set up in the main parking lot or purchase food and eat at a catered picnic area on the grass.
The St. Paul Saints are a member of the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball, which is not affiliated with Major League or Minor League Baseball.
Midway Stadium is located at 1771 Energy Park Drive in St. Paul. For tickets and more information: saintsbaseball.com or 651-644-6659.
