The tour is hosted by the Cannon Clay Cooperative, a group established in 2014 comprised of ten professional ceramicists from the Northfield area. The event includes functional potters, sculptors, and installation artists working in porcelain, stoneware, and terracotta. There will be a rich diversity of work represented: carved vessels, wood-fired and soda-fired pottery, sculpted animals, colorful and whimsical functional ware, botanically-inspired works, screen-printed pots, and pieces embellished with a myriad of patterns, natural scenes, and narratives.
