Tour Focus: Visitors get to see how a world-class motorsports facility operates. As an annual host of the NHRA Nationals featuring the best and fastest drag racers in the world, BIR is a 600-acre facility that includes 3-mile and 2.5-mile road courses. Visitors can walk on the drag strip, learn about how a drag race operates, see the Control Room in the Race Tower, experience the road courses, and check out the expansive camping facilities we have.

Tour Focus: These restored Chicago and Northwest railroad yards include a depot, roundhouse, water tower, section foreman's house, 2 wooden cabooses, diesel switcher, narrow and standard gauge steam engines, other railroad equipment and memorabilia, and the only manually operated turntable left in the state of MN on the original site, still operable and always turned by man-power. A restored schoolhouse, general store, grist mill, first church, and the rebuilt courthouse may also be seen. Native American history and artifacts and a sacred white bison are located in the Interpretive Center.

Tour Focus: This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with old locomotives. There is an acre of turn-of-the-century coal-fired locomotives, diesels, passenger cars, and dining car china. Trolley and train rides are available in the summer.

Tour Focus: Visitors can see and hear the Greyhound story and learn about the men and machines that created Greyhound through audio and visual presentations, pictorial displays and hundreds of artifacts and memorabilia. Greyhound joined American from coast to coast and border to border. With 16 vintage buses from 1927 to the present, visitors can see the changes of bus styles through the years. Also two converted buses to motor homes show what happens to some buses when they are retired from the greyhound fleet.

Tour Focus: Great spots for paddling tours are the beautiful mine lakes of the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area with its rich mining history, and to see how nature can find renewal from an area devastated by mining. Other tours on the Mississippi River reveal Native American and early explorers' history, or the scenic and remote Pine River with its abundance of birds and wildlife. Bicycle tours are available on the Paul Bunyan and Cuyuna Lakes State Trails with shuttle service available. Winter snowshoe tours can be arranged as well!

Tour Focus: A stroll through the museum will take you on a nostalgic trip through the automotive past: over 100 vehicles, including cars, trucks and motorcycles, from the early 1920's through the muscle cars of the 60's and 70's. Tour Focus: Ambrose Weeres had an idea that if you put a wooden deck on top of two columns of steel barrels welded together end to end, you would have a sturdy deck that would be more stable on a lake than a conventional boat. With that notion, the first pontoon was built in the land of 10,000 lakes. This tour reveals the skill and craftsmanship that goes into each finished product.
