Fort Alexandria is a replica of the original fort build in 1862 to provide protection from the Souix Indian upraising. Included are a log general store, log cabin, church, 1885 school house, and a large agricultural building with exhibits. Included in the fort is the 40 ft. Viking merchant ship "Snorri" learn how it got its name.

  • Directions to Facility / Event: I94 Exit 103 North on Broadway, just north of the stop light on Third Avenue and Broadway. Part of the Runestone Museum located at the north end of town, across from Big Ole.
