Lake Carlos State Park is located ten miles north of Alexandria on Highway 29. The park offers visitors a beautiful setting of rolling hills, hardwood forests, grassy meadows, prairies, and a deep clean lake noted for its abundance of walleyes, northerns, bass, and panfish. The park is located on the north end of Lake Carlos. Lake Carlos is on a chain of five lakes that extend from Alexandria north to the park.
