Step back in history at Gammelgården Museum and glimpse into the daily lives of the Swedish immigrants in the only open air museum devoted to Swedish Immigration in the United States. Visit the oldest Lutheran church building in Minnesota(1856) ; Präst Hus, the first parsonage (1868), Immigrant Hus (1855), Stuga (1930), Barn (1879), Valkommen Hus (Visitor Center), and Scandia Butik (Gift Shop).
Picnic and playground facilities, group tours and meals available. Join us for our many seasonal celebrations and children's programs. Historic buildings open April 29 - October 15; visitor center and gift shop open April 29- December 23.

Focus Exhibit 2012: Celebrating 40 Years of Preserving Swedish Immigrant Culture.

Historic Building Tours - April 29 to mid October Friday, Saturday and Sunday 1:00-4:00p.m. Worship 8:00a.m. Memorial Day through Labor Day Sunday. $5.00 adults; elementary age children free and Tor the Tomte's tour brochure gives children a close up view of life in 1856. Group tours and lunches by pre-arrangements (651) 433-3430. Always free parking!
