Once the farthest outpost of the U.S. in the homeland of the Dakota people, Historic Fort Snelling was later used for military training from the Civil War through World War II. Nearby Sibley House Historic Site features some of Minnesota’s oldest buildings.

  • Additional Date Information: Memorial Day Weekend -Labor Day: TU-SA 10am-5pm; SU 12-5 pm. SA 10am- 5pm in September and October. Please call ahead for field trip or other group reservations.

  • Additional Rate Information: $10 adults, $8 senior citizens (65+) & Students W/ ID, and $5 children ages 6-17. Free for children under age 6 and MHS members.
