At the Walleye Capital of the World find guided world class trophy fishing in every season. There are 317,000 acres of user friendly Minnesota waters. Whether you hit the waters on one of the resorts charter boats, bring up your own boat, or venture on the ice in a heated bomber, there is fishing to be had!

The fishery is self-sustaining and healthy. We have a wide variety of species to target as well. Here is a list of the species found in Lake of the Woods.
• Walleye
• Northern Pike
• Sauger
• Muskie
• Bass
• Perch
• Black Crappies
• Sturgeon

Lake of the Woods is not just fishing, though. You can have a panoramic view of the waters and forests by day and the Milky Way and northern lights by night. There are miles of secluded sandy beaches to explore. The forests are teeming with wildlife and almost 300 species of birds (some are very rare). This is a pristine wilderness area that can successfully accommodate both silent and motorized sports.
There are over 45 full service resorts open year around along the banks of the Rainy River, the south shores of Lake of the woods but the most unique getaway in all of Minnesota are the getaways at the Northwest Angle and Islands.
Winter offers a cross country ski trail at Zippel Bay State Park and over 500 miles of continuously groomed snowmobile trails.
