The Pelican Lake Resort Association invites you to experience the peace and tranquility of the area along with an incredible variety of fishing options.With Pelican Lake's 50 miles of shoreline, 50 islands and over 12,000 acres of water, anglers find abundant fishing opportunities including northern pike, crappie, bluegill, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass and walleye. Elephant Lake is especially known for walleye, crappie and bass.This diverse fishery offers something for everyone. Children delight in the special thrill of landing a nice panfish, maybe their first catch. Others enjoy the excitement of hooking a feisty bass or northern.In Fisherman Magazine has this to say: "Another gem is Pelican Lake, in the northern part of Minnesota, near Orr. This densely vegetated lake regularly produces some of the biggest bass in the state, despite a short growing season."Lodging facilities include campgrounds, a bed and breakfast, and resorts with large and small cabins. Swimming is a welcome feature at most resorts, and there is also a public beach at Orr.
