Year-RoundSavanna Portage State Park is comprised of almost 16,000 acres. Its landscape of rolling hills, mixed hardwoods, pines, and 4 lakes provide many recreation opportunities including hiking, biking, fishing, camping, swimming, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. The varied and beautiful landscape lends itself to a diverse array of plants, animal and birds. We bridge habitats from deep Tamarack and Spruce bog to upland hardwoods of Maple, Oak, Basswood, Birch and Aspen with scattered Wht. Pine

From McGregor - Take Hwy. 65 north and follow it for 7 miles to Aitkin County Road 14. Take a right onto 14 and follow it to the end of the road - about 10 miles. We are at the end of the road.
