Central Minnesota
Here in the heart of Minnesota, you will find a scene of crystal lakes and wooded hills.
Located just to the northwest of Minneapolis-St. Paul, the region is an easy drive for a family vacation or weekend getaway. Fishing, boating, and water skiing are all big here.
The area is also known as a golf destination, with more than 70 scenic courses, many crafted by top designers. There are plenty of other activities, too. Ride miles of paved bike trails. Explore scenic byways winding through the peaceful countryside. Shop till you drop at shopping malls, outdoor sports stores, antique and gift shops.
There are interesting historic sites devoted to famed aviator Charles Lindbergh and novelist Sinclair Lewis. Others present 1850s farm life and Ojibwe Indian history and culture. Don't miss the many art galleries and theaters.
