Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul
The Twin Cities area of Minneapolis Saint Paul is cosmopolitan at its heart and small town along its perimeter. Not identical twins, but different in architecture and ambiance, these twin cities each offer their own approach to an exciting arts scene, landmark architecture, terrific restaurants, and intriguing museums. Culture is not limited to the two largest cities, however, as theaters, museums and fine arts are found throughout the Metro region.
The Mississippi, Minnesota and St. Croix rivers pass through the region, winding by smaller towns with quaint main streets and fascinating history. The region also offers a variety of shopping experiences, from distinctive boutiques to the grand-daddy of malls – Mall of America.
Outdoor activities include miles of paved bike trails and walking paths. Take a dip in the lake or at one of many outdoor and indoor water parks. Or take a swing at one of the excellent championship golf courses in the region.
Professional teams in all major league sports and collegiate athletics draw enthusiastic sports fans to cheer them on. The Minneapolis Saint Paul area is family-friendly too, with museums and attractions that are educational, enlightening and sometimes simply exhilarating.
