North Metro
The communities north of Minneapolis offer numerous places to stay close to city sights while enjoying a variety of sports and recreation activities. There are a number of exceptional golf courses, led by the legendary Edinburgh USA in Brooklyn Park and the Tournament Players Club (TPC) Twin Cities course in Blaine. Families are drawn to area water parks and the unique wave pool at Bunker Hills Regional Park, one of several parks and nature centers in the area. The National Sports Center in Blaine is known for its soccer fields and skating rinks.
Family-friendly cultural and historic attractions are also found in the north Minneapolis area including the Lyric Arts Main Street Stage in Anoka and Eidem Homestead, Brooklyn Park's Historic Farmstead.
Shopping is also a highlight with larger shopping centers like Rosedale Center and Har Mar Mall in Roseville. By contrast, when you visit The Shoppes at Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove, and Anoka's Main Street shopping area, you'll feel like you are strolling down a quaint street in a small town.
