If you love outdoor adventures, you’ll love northeast Minnesota.

This is a land of special places, from wilderness lakes to magnificent Lake Superior. Rivers tumble over rapids and waterfalls. Get into unspoiled back country, or “rough it” in sheer comfort at a lakeside lodge.

The woods and waters of northeast Minnesota are a great destination for outdoor recreation: hiking and biking, canoeing and kayaking, camping, fishing and boating, and golfing amid beautiful scenery. Winter sports range from snowboarding to snowshoeing.

Duluth offers big city fun, while smaller towns here have some interesting finds, from heritage museums to art galleries. In fact, for many visitors the city sights in these north woods towns are their own adventure. Get to know the unique character of each area in Northeast Minnesota: the Iron Range, the North Shore of Lake Superior, River Country and Wilderness & Lakes.
