Eagle Viewing Field Trips – Register Online!

Wabasha, Minnesota offers a unique opportunity to see both of North America’s eagle species (bald and golden eagles) in the wild. You can learn more about eagles in the Upper Mississippi River Valley and get great views of bald and golden eagles in the wild on a guided eagle tour into prime eagle habitat with our expert naturalists.

We host our field trips during the height of eagle viewing season from November to May. Attendees travel by coach bus with our expert naturalists to bald and golden eagle viewing hot spots in and around the Mississippi River valley. You can view these majestic birds in the wild while learning about their habitat, behavior, and tips for identifying them on your own. Plus, you never know what other wildlife we may see along the way! Minimal walking is required and photography is highly encouraged. Trips begin at 1pm with brief introductions at the Center and return to the Center around 4:30pm for light refreshments.

Field trips are geared for older children and adults. Tickets are $30 for National Eagle Center members and $40 for non-members.

Don’t miss out! Join us for a bald or golden eagle viewing field trip this season!

Join us on the Pearl of the Lake in Lake City and enjoy a leisurely two-hour summer cruise. Our naturalists will be onboard to present an educational program about the lake and its inhabitants. Learn about the importance of Lake Pepin as a critical habitat along the Upper Mississippi River Flyway for migrating waterfowl and the current challenges the lake faces due to sedimentation. Plus, get real-time interpretation about any wildlife that we view during the trip around the lake! We’re sure to see some bald eagles, gulls and other native birds, so you bring your binoculars and burning questions about Lake Pepin and native wildlife. Or just join us for a fun afternoon on the lake!

Boarding will begin at 3:00pm both days, so be sure to arrive in time to check-in and board.
