  • Hermann Monument is visible atop the highest bluff in New Ulm. From Hwy 14 east turn left onto #37 to enter New Ulm. At stoplight turn right onto Broadway. Turn left onto Center Street. Follow Center Street west uphill to Monument Street.

  • Open 10AM-7PM Saturdays and Sundays in May and September; Open Daily from Memorial Day (May 30) weekend to Labor Day Weekend (Sept.5); Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays of Oktoberfest (Oct. 7-9 and 14-16); and MEA Weekend (Oct. 21-23)

Green Practices

  • Desc of Green Practices in Place: Climb the staircase to the statue for a panoramic view of the River Valley. The Monument offers an Interpretive Center with exhibits and artifacts of interest to all ages. Hermann Heights Park features playground equipment, picnic facilities, restrooms.
