About
July 4, 2026, will mark the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, and the founding of the United States. History organizations throughout Dakota County have discussed how we can accurately commemorate this national milestone.
You are invited to attend an Open House to provide feedback on our ideas and concepts to celebrate and recognize the past 250 years.
We welcome you to explore at your own pace, talking with the partners and learning about the possibilities. Short presentations at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. will walk through the plan and recommendations. Light refreshments will be available and a children's activity area will be set up - so bring your kids! Stay for 10 minutes or an hour, whichever works best for you.
