Deathtrap is a suspense-comedy play by Ira Levin about a famous, but currently unsuccessful, playwright, Sidney Bruhl, who is sent a thrilling script by a former student. Desperate for a hit, Sidney hatches a plan with his wife, Myra, to lure the student, Clifford Anderson, to their home, murder him, and claim the play as his own. However, as the plan unfolds, their lives become increasingly entangled with a Dutch psychic neighbor, Helga Ten Dorp, who senses the danger, leading to a series of surprising and thrilling plot twists that keep the audience guessing until the very end.
