About
Join us for a beaded fringe earring workshop with Brook LaFloe. LaFloe grew up in the Twin Cities and is a member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, ND. An artist, Indigenous educator, entrepreneur, CEO and co-founder of Niniijanis (One of Ones), LaFloe is featured in the Minnesota (where girls shoot hoops) section of the Girlhood (It’s complicated) exhibit for her work and accomplishments supporting the Twin Cities Native Community through her work in Montessori education and coaching basketball.
This is a beginners level beadwork class geared towards youth ages 10+ and will include light refreshments and a community conversation related to Indigenous girlhood.
Explore the exhibit and learn more about identity and indigenous girlhood through beadwork. Free Minnesota History Center admission and parking is available every Thursday from 4-8pm. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact [email protected].
