About
The History Center welcomes the return of researcher, author, & social justice advocate Karen Sieber! Many may know that William Crossley is buried in Rochester, but do they know the entire story? Crossley, along with his mother, Nance Legins-Costley, were the first former enslaved people to be freed by Abraham Lincoln. But just how did he end up in Rochester & what role did he play in the first Juneteenth? Join us at the History Center on Tuesday, June 17th at 7:00 pm to learn more!
