During the colonial period and the early days of the Republic, five distinct women made significant contributions to society. Join historian Frank Sachs as he discusses prominent essayist Judith Sargent Murray, literary genius Phillis Wheatley, courageous war hero Molly Pitcher, women’s advocate Abigail Adams, and first lady Dolley Madison.
Frank Sachs, from Frank-Talking-History, was a Twin Cities secondary educator for 46 years.
In commemoration of America’s 250th birthday, the Dakota County Historical Society is proud to offer programming that celebrates the diverse people of the past who contributed to the American story of liberty and prosperity.
