About
Join us for an evening with the Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra! The Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra will perform popular tunes, traditional music from the “golden age” of mandolin orchestras, and newer pieces written for mandolin groups by local and nationally-known composers.
The Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra is a community orchestra formed in 1991 to preserve and foster the enjoyment of mandolin music. They have about 40 musicians, playing mandolin, mandola, mandocello, guitar, and bass. Their repertoire includes old and new compositions for mandolin ensembles, transcriptions of classical music, and arrangements of popular tunes.
Free Minnesota History Center admission and parking is available every Thursday from 4-8 pm. Learn more about the Minnesota Mandolin Orchestra at https://www.mnmando.org/.
