About
Spelmansstämma
Spelman = Fiddler / Stämma = Gathering
The immigrant fiddle festival is a long-held Swedish tradition where fiddlers and musicians gather with their instruments to play and share folk music in the oral tradition.
This colorful annual festival is held on the Gammegården Museum grounds amid historic buildings from the 1850's that have been preserved to present and promote Swedish immigrant
heritage.
Spelmansstämma is a wonderful multi-generational activity with something for everyone to enjoy: music, folk dancing, museum tours, vendors, crafts, and food.
