ZZ TOP, “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas,” has been delivering rock, blues, and boogie for over 50 years. Known for their beards, hotrods, and spinning guitars, the band first broke out with Tres Hombres (1973) and the hit “La Grange.” Their 1983 album Eliminator propelled them to MTV fame with “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Legs,” earning Diamond certification.
ZZ TOP has played to millions across four continents as a touring powerhouse and was the subject of the Grammy-nominated documentary That Little Ol’ Band From Texas. After Dusty Hill’s passing in 2021, longtime guitar tech Elwood Francis stepped in to keep the legacy alive.
With a sound rooted in blues legends like Muddy Waters and B.B. King, ZZ TOP remains rock royalty—inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and honored as Texas heroes. Decades in, their mantra remains: “Tone, Taste, and Tenacity.” ZZ TOP abides!
