Learn why the area of Traverse des Sioux was a gateway and a gathering place for thousands of years. During your visit immerse yourself in elements of Dakota culture and prairie life, and examine aspects of the Traverse des Sioux Treaty of 1851. The Treaty Site History Center is the headquarters of the Nicollet County Historical Society.
