From Twin Cities: Take Hwy 77 (Cedar) south to Hwy 50. Turn left on Hwy 50 (east) to Denmark Ave. Turn right (south) on Denmark to 220th St W. Turn left (east) onto 220th St W to entrance of Dakota City and the Fairgrounds on right-hand side (2nd street)

Step back in time and enjoy a summer day in 1900. Costumed docents will lead 90-minute walking tours through the village, every half hour between 10am - noon. You have the option to bring your own picnic lunch and eat at the picnic tables in the village. You can also tour through the museum before or after your village tour. Buy your tickets at the gate and come in to Ahlberg Hall. The village is open 10am - 2pm with the last tour starting at noon. You must have a ticket and a tour guide to be in the village.
