The City of Pine Island and the Cheese Festival Committee hosts its 89th annual Cheese Festival on June 5th–June 8th. There are lots of activities for families including fireworks, a carnival, food vendors, craft vendors, a 5K Ribbon Run, fire department water fight, volleyball & pickleball tournaments, a raffle, an activities-filled Kid's Day on Saturday, an off-site cheese, wine & beer Gala at SxSE Brewery, and a pancake breakfast, plus contests and games. There will be cheese and wine for sale on-site at the Cheese & Wine Market, an evening outdoor concert in the park on Saturday, and a huge parade down Main Street on Sunday.
