Indígena by Owamni
About
Owamni, the nationally acclaimed Indigenous restaurant, today announces a new name for its new restaurant space, opening in the Guthrie Theater in late spring. Indígena by Owamni (pronounced: In-DEE-Hay-Na), marks a new chapter, expanding the culinary scope, physical space and cultural reach of the James Beard award-winning restaurant founded by Chef Sean Sherman.
Indígena by Owamni reflects a broader vision, offering a more expansive dining experience that showcases the diversity of Indigenous cuisines across North America and welcoming more guests. The new location, located next to the Mississippi River in the Guthrie Theater, doubles Owamni’s original space with 204 indoor seats and approximately 100 patio seats.
