Lawler Loops

A scenic detour off the popular Soo Line South Trail, the Lawler Loops showcase the iconic northern Minnesota landscape. The trail has three loops, passing north and south of the Soo Line. Stretches of boardwalk cross over the wetland areas and picnic stops with grills are available.

Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum & Info Center

Author Laura Ingalls Wilder lived on Plum Creek near Walnut Grove in the 1870's. Eight buildings make up the Museum grounds telling the history of the Ingalls Family and other pioneers to Walnut Grove. Life sized Dugout is a great hands-on exhibit. Check website for times & dates.

Last Turn Saloon

Larson Lake Forest Recreation Area

11.0 km double trackset. Mostly beginner-intermediate level trails. Located near Deerwood, MN. One-quarter mi S on MN Hwy 6 from east junction of MN Hwys 210 & 6, then 1.2 mi E on Co Rd 10 to Larson Lake. Trails go through rolling oak forest with large diameter red and white pine trees in several areas. Many trail segments encircle black spruce and tamarack bogs. Two shelters. Trail maps available at parking lot. Maps along trail. Ski pass required.

Larson Lake Campground

Located in George Washington State Forest, managed by Scenic State Park. The 12 campsites are considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and picnic table. Vault toilets, one dumpster, and drinking water are available. The campground features nature trails and 12 campsites along Larson Lake, a designated trout lake.

Larson Art Gallery

The 520-square-foot Paul Whitney Larson Art Gallery is located on the Lower Level of the St. Paul Student Center. Exhibitions are curated, designed, installed and promoted by the Visual Arts Committee of the Minnesota Programs & Activities Council.
