The parade consists exclusively of marching bands which display their pageantry, choreography, regimentation, and musicianship. The summer parade circuit takes place during the month of June, which is unique to Minnesota. Music enriches and enhances all of our lives. Marching Band helps students build character, learn self-discipline, and learn how to formulate and achieve goals.
A kaleidoscope of moods and colors unfolds in this dynamic
program, featuring ensembles of flute, woodwinds, and strings in deconstructed
arrangements that are anything but traditional. The music weaves through
strange and beautiful worlds — from the haunting solo flute to mysterious
harmonies and bold, theatrical moments. Mozart’s Serenade in C Minor for Wind
Octet highlights the SPCO woodwind and brass sections.
