The newest 9 hole golf course in the state of Minnesota, the golf course is adjacent to the resort and you can walk to the course from any of the lodging facilities. The golf course has a practice putting green, driving range and the only free warm-up hole in Minnesota. The 250 yard warm up hole gets you ready for the fabulous experience of the 9 holes that wind around water, trees and even an actual Bear's Den preserved on the sight on the tough 8th hole. This golf course is a must play when ever in the Park Rapids area either staying at Timberlane or in the area.

Bear Lake Campground and Day-Use Area

Located in George Washington State Forest, managed by Scenic State Park. The 29 campsites are considered "primitive," designed to furnish only the basic needs of the camper. The campsites consist of a cleared area, fire ring, and picnic table. Vault toilets, garbage cans, and drinking water are available. Bear Lake campground and Day Use Area is on a walleye and crappie lake with water access, swimming, dock, fishing, four picnic sites, and a picnic shelter at the day use area.

Bear Head Lake State Park

Experience the beauty of the North at this secluded park on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area. Listen quietly for the call of the loon, or cast a line in these outstanding fishing waters. 17 mi hiking trails; 9 mi cross-country ski, 1 mi snowmobile trail. Ski trail runs through rugged wilderness with deer, bear, and moose. Maps along trail. Ski pass required. Ski passes sold at park office.
