Comstock House

Built by Solomon G. Comstock in 1883, this Victorian home showcases the popular styles of the time, blending Queen Anne and Eastlake designs. Comstock was a U.S. Representative and banker who helped build James J. Hill’s railroad. He and his wife, Sarah Ball, raised three children in the home. The Comstock House is a Minnesota Historical Society historic site managed by the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County.

They run on a segment of the original Como-Harriet Streetcar Line, once part of a 523-mile system using more than 1,000 streetcars that crisscrossed the Twin Cities. Enjoy a scenic two mile, fifteen minute trip through beautiful parkland between Lakes Harriet and Calhoun during your visit to Minneapolis' Chain of Lakes.

Como Park Golf Course

The Como 18 Hole Golf Course is nestled behind the historic Como Park Zoo & Conservatory and just across Lexington Parkway from the scenic Lake Como. The course has a par 70, plays 5,581 yards from the middle tees, and has a rating of 67.5 and a slope of 122.

Como is a shorter, sporty course that is a fair test for the average golfer. There are not many straight putts on these rolling, well-bunkered greens. Water hazards and elevation changes add to the subtle challenge and beauty of this layout. The clubhouse provides a full service bar and quality food service.
