USD Chamber Singers present "Americana"

The award winning USD Chamber Singers will present their tour concert "Americana" which includes classical and contemporary choral selections from a wide range of time periods. The program featuring music in celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the founding of America. You will hear traditional choral music, as well as several American folk songs, spirituals, and pop music classics. There is no cost to attend, but a freewill donation will be collected.

Sugarbush Demonstration

Join museum staff for a demonstration of traditional and contemporary methods of harvesting and processing maple sap! Guests will observe the process of boiling sap down into syrup and sugar. Samples of maple sugar will be available. Registration is recommended, but not required.

Petticoats, parasols, and pinafores - join the Living History Society as they share what they wear in the mid-19th century. Learn about the fit, form, and function of the many layers of mid-19th century clothing and hear about how the clothing you wear today connects to what was worn in the past. You'll find out how ladies' skirts got so big, what it's really like to wear a corset, and how people worked in the clothes they wore.
