Christmas in Alexandria 2025: A Holiday Celebration

Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with the Christmas in Alexandria! Starting on Friday, November 28, 2025, and continuing throughout December, the whole family can enjoy dazzling lights, festive parades, and beautiful holiday displays across Alexandria, MN.

Kickoff Day: Friday, November 28, 2025

The holiday festivities begin with two exciting events:

• Christmas in the Fort & Parade of Trees

  • Time: 2 PM – 6 PM

  • Location: Runestone Museum & Legacy of the Lakes (206 Broadway Street, Alexandria MN)

  • Details: Get into the holiday spirit with the "Christmas in the Fort" event and view the creatively decorated Parade of Trees.

• Lights on Broadway Holiday Light Parade

• Time: Downtown Lighting at 5:15 PM, Holiday Parade at 5:30 PM

• Location: Downtown Alexandria MN

• Details: Gather downtown for the spectacular Downtown Lighting ceremony, immediately followed by the festive Lights on Broadway Holiday Light Parade!

• Get a start on your holiday shopping! Shop local on November 28th and 29th for Black Friday and Shop Small Saturday at various downtown business! 

Ongoing Event: Garden of Lights Walking Light Tour

Enjoy a beautiful walk through a festive display all month long!

• Dates: November 28 – December 28, 2025 (including Christmas Eve & Christmas Day)

• Time: Fridays – Sundays, 5 PM – 8 PM

• Location: Legacy of the Lakes Gardens (205 3rd Ave W, Alexandria MN)

• Details: Take a leisurely stroll through the Garden of Lights Walking Light Tour, a magical display perfect for family photos and creating lasting holiday memories.
