Celebrate Independence Day in Fairmont with a full day of lakeside fun, community spirit, and a can’t-miss fireworks show over the Chain of Lakes.

What You’ll Find

• Boat Parade at 11:00 am – Free to participate or watch along the shoreline as boats cruise the lakes decked out in red, white, and blue. For some of the best views, sit along the channel at Gomsrud Park.
• City Band Performance at 8:00 pm – Enjoy patriotic music at Sylvania Park as the Fairmont City Band helps set the tone for the evening celebration.
• Fireworks at Dusk – One of Minnesota’s largest fireworks shows over the Chain of Lakes. Watch from Ward Park, Sylvania Park, along the shoreline, or from a boat for a great view.
