About
This is way more than just shore lunch! It’s the annual Fisherman’s Picnic in Grand Marais. This community festival is more than 90 years old, and is Cook County's annual community get-together. Sponsored and organized by the local Lion's Club, this is their annual fundraiser.
The annual Fisherman's Picnic in Grand Marais has been going on for over 90 years. This weekend festival features fun for the whole family, live music, street vendors, food trucks, and of course fishburgers! (locally caught Lake Superior herring sandwiches). For community members, the Picnic is a time for reconnecting with old friends, family, and classmates. Town is exciting, fun, and filled with visitors, crazy days sales, craft show, daily contests and prizes, live music, kids activities, and so much more! And don't miss fireworks over the harbor on Saturday night and a Parade on Sunday afternoon! And don't miss the traditional Fisherman's Picnic 5k Trail Run/Walk on Saturday morning at Pincushion Recreation Area.
