About
For ten years, The Great Northern has celebrated Minnesota’s signature season, and our 10th anniversary brings it all together along the Mississippi riverfront. Spend a winter weekend skating on our outdoor rink, warming up in wood-fired saunas at Sauna Village, catching local and national music acts, and exploring public art after dark. Browse vendor villages, try a hands-on workshop, grab a drink at the Ice Bar, and join conversations and films on climate, community, and the future through the Climate Solutions Series.
Built for sauna devotees and first-timers, lifelong skaters and winter skeptics alike, The Great Northern is your invitation to find joy in the cold. Youth 17 and under get in free with an adult pass holder
