This three-hour introductory linocut workshop guides beginner printmakers through the complete process of designing, carving, inking, and printing their own relief print. Participants begin with a brief overview of linocut history and influences, before learning about essential tools, materials, and safety practices. Through guided sketching exercises, students develop simple, bold compositions and learn to transfer their designs onto linoleum blocks. A combination of demonstration and hands-on practice teaches carving techniques, texture creation, and proper tool handling. The workshop concludes with inking and hand- printing methods, allowing participants to produce finished prints, reflect on their work, and leave with practical skills and creative confidence.
