ALL ABOARD! The 52nd Annual James J. Hill Days Express is Rolling into Wayzata. Since 1975 the weekend following Labor Day in Wayzata has been dedicated to honoring James J. Hill, Minnesota historic figure and once owner of the Great Northern Railroad Company. The whistle’s blowing and James J. Hill Days is just around the bend, coming September 11, 12 & 13 to the shores of Lake Minnetonka in Wayzata. The proud residents, businesses and community groups of this small town will roll out the welcome mat for over 75,000 guests over three jam-packed days of exciting events. From engine to caboose, there’s something for everyone - FREE live music, food trucks, beer gardens, open-air street market, carnival, dachshund races, parade, and so much more.
