About
Ski, snowshoe, or hike on trails lit by luminaries. Warm up by the fire afterwards with some hot cocoa. Stop in anytime during this ongoing event. Adult and children's snowshoes available to rent.
Where to Meet: Meet at the River Inn Visitor Center.
Dress for the weather. Bring your own refillable mug for hot beverages if you wish to reduce waste. Both indoor and outdoor fires will be available if you wish to bring your own items to roast.
How Difficult is this event? This event uses an easy trail that in total is 1.8 miles round trip. There is a cut-off half way through for those who want a shorter trail. The same trail is used for all users, so people with mixed recreational needs can stay together.
Are Pets Allowed? Only designated service animals are invited to this event which draws a large crowd. Because this event occurs in the dark with many people, we kindly ask you leave your pet at home to reduce conflicts.
I'd Like to Volunteer! A large event like this is made possible by many helpful volunteers. We use volunteers to set out candles, light them, and clean up afterwards. If you are interested in helping with one of the tasks, please contact the naturalist.
