A favorite of Austin audiences, renowned pianist Roberto Plano returns to celebrate American music with the most famous of all American piano pieces: George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Plano is the winner of Cleveland International Piano Competition and a laureate at numerous international competitions and one of Austin’s most beloved guest artists. The Symphony will also perform the Overture to Candide by Leonard Bernstein and closes this amazing season with Dvorak’s iconic New World Symphony, inspired by the composer’s time in the Upper Midwest. A perfect ending to a perfect season.
