Looking for a holiday tradition the whole family will love? Our massive 2,500,000+ holiday light display dances in time to the best songs of the season, and with festive food & drink vendors, it’s pretty much guaranteed to be merry. So go ahead, pile into the car—this is one show everyone will want to see.

WHAT: Sever’s Holiday Lights 

Gather your family (or those in your bubble) in the car to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Sever’s Holiday Lights, presented by T-Mobile. This year the half-mile course, located at Sever’s Festival grounds in Shakopee, is packed with even more lights (1.2 million!) and a giant lit up yeti! All the lights are set to holiday music favorites mixed to an upbeat track.

Stay in the safety and comfort of your own vehicle while enjoying this one-of-a-kind magical display. Enjoy concessions including mini donuts, cider and caramel corn. It’s the perfect holiday treat for all ages! “Especially this year, we are excited to provide a safe way for families to get out of the house to experience a vibrant, memorable activity that we hope will become a new holiday tradition for years to come,” says Nicola Peterson with Sever’s Festivals. 

Each vehicle at Sever’s Holiday Lights will also receive a swag bag provided by UCare® and filled with coupons, candies and other surprises from sponsors. Guests are also encouraged to help bring the joy of the holidays to children everywhere by dropping off an unwrapped toy while visiting Sever’s Holiday Lights, which is a proud partner of Toys for Tots.

FAQS:

• How long can I expect the drive-through to take?

  Time spent driving through the light show completely depends on the flow of traffic. The course is 2 miles long with 2,500,000+ lights. We recommend vehicles go through the drive-thru and then park in the observation lot afterwards to enjoy the full program, however vehicles can also drive the course as many times as they’d like.

• Do I need to make a reservation?

  Yes. Tickets must be purchased online before your visit. Sever’s Holiday Lights is an in-demand seasonal event, so we highly recommend purchasing as early as possible. we are running 7 days a week from November 27th thru December 28th - 5pm-9pm each day, peak week is December 18-25. You are free to arrive any time within your chosen time slot, and if you are running a little late (or early) for your time slot, you do not need to let us know––we’re happy to be flexible.

• What vehicles can fit through the drive-thru?

  Any vehicle or bus smaller than 30 feet long and less than 10.5 feet tall will fit through our drive-thru. Please note, small party buses and shuttle buses are less than 30 feet long on average. Limos could have difficulty on the course, and we don’t recommend them unless the driver/company is experienced with our event.

• Something has come up and I need to transfer my tickets to another day. How do I do this?

  Ticket dates are fully transferable within peak and non-peak dates. Please email us at [email protected] to change dates. Please note that Holiday Lights tickets are only valid for this season and will not transfer to next year’s event or any other Sever’s event.

• We are running a little late for our chosen time slot. Do we need to call ahead?

  No. We understand things come up and we are happy to be flexible if you are running a little late (or early) for your time slot.

• Are you open on holidays?

  Yes, we are running 7 days a week from November 27th thru December 28th - 5pm-9pm each day, peak week is December 18-25.

• Can I buy tickets on-site?

  Tickets are not available on-site as we anticipate most evenings to sell out. Please purchase online ahead of time.
