For 125 years, families have gathered at Wambolts Cabins on Upper Bottle Lake to experience the simple magic of Minnesota lake life.

Founded in 1899, with the first guests arriving in 1901, Wambolts is one of Minnesota’s historic family resorts, where generations of families have gathered for classic “Up North” experiences — fishing at sunrise, afternoons on the dock, bonfires by the lake, and time together in the Northwoods.

To mark this milestone anniversary, Wambolts is hosting a week of special events celebrating Minnesota’s resort heritage and the traditions that continue to bring people back to the lake year after year.

Anniversary week will include a community potluck, canoe parade, 5K run, family activities, and opportunities to share stories and memories from 125 summers at the lake.

Whether you’re a longtime guest or visiting for the first time, it’s a chance to experience the timeless charm of a Minnesota family resort and celebrate the spirit of lake life.
