Winter Solstice Walk
Dates
- Sunday, December 21, 2025 | 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
About
The Winter Solstice Walk will bring some light and cheer to the longest night of the year. The trail will be lit at 5:30 pm and glow until 8 pm. This is a special way to experience the beauty of a riverfront park in December. Pre-registration is not required.
Choose your own adventure: Walk the illuminated paths as many times as you want! The short loop is about a half mile, the longer loop is about a mile. A map will be posted soon.
Be sure to check out the small shelter some time during your adventure:
- Make your own glow in the dark necklace provided by River Keepers.
- Buy a festive headband that lights up to help support the event.
- River Keepers information
Things to consider:
- Carpoool!
- Bring your friends and family.
- Dress for the weather.
- Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Walking sticks are good for winter walking but not necessary.
- Welcome to bring festive lighted necklaces and/or hats!
