North Shore Winery

North Shore Winery, established in 2013, offers both red and white wines for tasting and purchase. Under the brand, Sawtooth Mountain Cider House, hard ciders are offered created with a local flair. The winery, located on Ski Hill Road in Lutsen, has normal business hours from Noon to 7 p.m. to experience a taste of Lutsen and is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tastings and tours are available during regular business hours - no appointment needed.

The tasting room is open Thursdays from 2-8 p.m., open late for Date Nights.

North Shore Scenic Railroad

Travel back in time and see magnificent views of Lake Superior, the downtown skyline, Duluth's waterfront and the majestic Northwoods from your window seat. Classic engines pull vintage cars on a variety of trips. Each trip originates from the historic Duluth Union Depot and discounted combination tickets are available to "See the Trains...Ride the Trains" at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum.

Enjoy a 1 1/2 hour "Duluth Zephyr" trips to Lester River, a 2 1/2 hour Pizza Train or a Two Harbors Excursion.

North Shore Mountains - Bally Creek Trails

25.0 km trackset. 11.0 km skate-ski. All skill level trails. Part of a 196 km ski-through network along the North Shore. Variety of cedar swamp, balsam and pine forest. Meanders along wildlife pond. Ski 17.6km from Bally Creek to Cascade State Park. Maps along trail. MN Ski pass required.

North Shore All-American Scenic Drive

The spectacular scenery of the North Shore of Superior, including eight state parks, has earned this scenic route a national designation as an "All-American Road." Small shoreline towns offer restaurants serving local fish and produce as well as unique shops and art galleries.

Experience the history of the shore at the 1910 Split Rock Lighthouse, a commercial fishing museum in Tofte, and Grand Portage National Monument fur-trading post. With a playhouse, galleries and a folk school, the harbor town of Grand Marais is an arts center.

North Ridge Winery

This is a family owned and operated farm winery. We have developed over 40 different wine varieties and normally have 25-30 varieties available for sale and tasting at our winery.

Our winery is very casual and family friendly. There is lots to do on our 33 acre property filled with walking trails. Visit our 10 sheep in the vineyard. Play our 9 Hole Disc Golf course, There is a Yurt you can visit and rent if you would like. We also have a Tepee. And in the tasting room we have a boutique selling consignment items from local vendors.

North Ottawa Impoundment Bird Trail

Set amongst the abundant agricultural fields of West Central Minnesota, the North Ottawa Impoundment is a man-made flood reduction facility designed to hold rain overflow and snow melt. Secondary benefits of the facility include habitat for birds, waterfowl, and shoreland birds. The facility also augments low summer stream flow for downstream water bodies. North Ottawa provides a phenomenal place on the prairie to observe wildlife and agriculture.
