Sievers Resort

Seven fully furnished lake cabins in 100 private acres located on beautiful Poquet Lake. Two, Three, and Five bedroom cabins available with private docks and fishing boat included. Serene fishing on a quiet lake with no public access. Enjoy pontooning,frisbee/disc golf course, basketball, tennis, canoeing, paddleboating, hiking two miles of our trails, and biking/rollerblading our 1 mile paved drive. Ride your bike to the Paul Bunyan trail only 1/4 mile away. No pets please.

Sidekick Theatre

Sidekick Theatre is a professional company that produces a full season of shows for adults and children at The Assembly at the Woman's Club of Minneapolis. Under the artistic leadership of Brian Pekol and Tim Stolz, with a company of actors who have appeared on major stages throughout the Twin Cities, Sidekick Theatre is committed to producing an exciting and engaging mix of comedies, musicals and dramas.

Sibley State Park

There is something for everyone at this active west-central Minnesota park. Camping, swimming, fishing, hiking, skiing and attending interpretive programs are among the visitor favorites. Take part in a year-round naturalist program providing activities on the park's natural, cultural and recreation resources. 18 miles of hiking, 1.8 miles of biking and 7 miles of horse trail. Enjoy a variety of water sports in the park's five lakes; boat and canoe rental is available.

Sibley Historic Site

Visit some of Minnesota's oldest buildings and explore the early 1800s, when Mendota was a major center of the region's fur trade. Among the buildings is the home of Henry Hastings Sibley, successful fur trader and first governor of Minnesota. This Minnesota Historical Society historic site is managed by Dakota County Historical Society.

Guided Tours begin at 10am, 11:30am, 1pm, 2:30pm and 4pm on open days.

Sibley Farm in Mankato's Sibley Park

Sibley Farm animals include alpacas, calves, goats, peacocks, horses, pigs, lambs, chicks and ducklings. Koi fish are in the pond.

Sibley Farm is open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. (mid-spring, summer and early fall).

Shores of Leech Lake Marina, RV Park & Cottages

Nearest lakeside cottages and RV resort to downtown Walker MN. On Walker Bay of Leech Lake and the paved Heartland and Paul Bunyan Trails, all cottages are lakeside with spectacular views, lakeside fire rings, cable TV and air conditioning. The resort includes a large inland harbor for your boat and a sandy swimming beach. Cottages are beautiful, well appointed with full kitchens, gas fireplaces, flat-panel TVs, etc.

Shores is home to the Shores of Leech Lake Yacht Club and the Leech Lake Regatta.

Shooting Star Scenic Byway

This official MN Scenic Byway is one of the state's first designated wildflower routes. The Minnesota Departments of Transportation and Natural Resources collaborate to manage wildflowers and native grasses along the route. The route passes through rich agricultural regions and small rural towns with historic buildings of national significance, bed and breakfasts, golf, swimming pools and city parks. Lake Louise State Park is located on the route. This is a 32 mile drive along Highway 56.
