Ruff Start Rescue’s 15-Year Anniversary Open House & Celebration

Join Ruff Start Rescue as we celebrate an incredible milestone: 15 years of lifesaving work and more than 30,000 animals rescued! This open house is our way of thanking the fosters, volunteers, donors, adopters, and community members who made it possible. Admission is free, family-friendly, and open to all (donations welcome!). Prairie Sugar Day

Join our farm hands as they make prairie sugar, also known as sorghum molasses. Help strip the leaves off the sorghum canes, press the canes through a horse-powered press to extract the juice, and stir the juice as it boils down to make a sweet, syrupy molasses. Then, enjoy a sweet treat of molasses confections such as gingerbread and molasses candy.

Havoc at the Pavek: Haunted Manor

The Pavek Museum brings back the thrilling Havoc at the Pavek, and this year’s theme is Haunted Manor! This one-of-a-kind scavenger hunt-style experience is a STEM adventure that takes you through the history of electronic communication but with a ghostly twist. Journey through a series of STEM activities hidden throughout the museum, collecting pieces along the way to build a special artifact that will help remove the ghosts!
