Winter wonderland and flickering candles come together for a magical experience at Afton State Park during the candlelight hike! This self-guided, self-paced trail is 2 miles round-trip, out-and-back. Begin at the Visitor Center and follow the glowing luminaries along the trail. A bonfire for roasting marshmallows will be held on the back patio of the Visitor Center and refreshments will be served inside.
Minnesota is well-known for its statewide access to stellar outdoor recreation. But that doesn’t mean its gym scene is lacking, especially in the metro area surrounding Minneapolis and St. Paul.
Tom Mills, Sara Renner & Chryss Altamirano will always be Three Soul Cry. During their time together, they won the Minnesota State Fair talent competition and went on to record 2 great albums of their original songs: "III Soul Cry" and "These Remaining Days". It's been quite a few years since they were together as a group, so we are excited for this rare opportunity to hear this powerful trio live, for a special reunion concert.

Local rock and country legend Pat Frederick, of Daisy Dillman Band fame, presents Southbound All-Stars—a joyful, thunderous tribute to the glory days of Southern rock. Born in the backwaters of Muscle Shoals and Jacksonville, Southern rock made waves through the ’60s and ’70s, blending blues, hillbilly, gospel, boogie and rock into a swaggering mix of soaring twin guitar leads, burning fiddle and soulful vocals.

Featuring a Makers Market with 25 local artists, hands-on demos with our staff and teaching artists, coffee, music, a scavenger hunt, and more, it’s a chance to make connections and find inspiration during Minnnesota’s coldest and darkest season! Free and open to the public, there’s opportunities for all to explore, create, shop, and engage with fiber art in all its forms.

Join us at Foci Minnesota Center for Glass Arts for the reception and artist talk for our solo glass exhibition Streptomyces by MiNHi England. This reception is an opportunity to meet a professional glass artist and hear them speak first-hand about how and why they create their artwork. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

A favorite of Austin audiences, renowned pianist Roberto Plano returns to celebrate American music with the most famous of all American piano pieces: George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Plano is the winner of Cleveland International Piano Competition and a laureate at numerous international competitions and one of Austin’s most beloved guest artists. The Symphony will also perform the Overture to Candide by Leonard Bernstein and closes this amazing season with Dvorak’s iconic New World Symphony, inspired by the composer’s time in the Upper Midwest.
