Jordan Johnston is a Minneapolis based R&B/pop singer/songwriter/producer who draws from a wide range of musical influences including, Micheal Jackson, Mint Condition, Justin Timberlake, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Usher & Prince. Jordan is focused on crafting songs with strong hooks and catchy melodies. Jordan has opened for R&B superstars including Stokley, former frontman of Mint Condition, Lyfe Jenngins as well as NPG legend, Liv Warfield on the main stage at Prince’s home, Paisley Park.

The Dr. Harold C. Deutsch World War II History Round Table: The First Atomic Bomb Test

Join James Eckles, author of Trinity: The History Of An Atomic Bomb National Historic Landmark and historian from White Sands Missile Range, for a special Wednesday program about General Leslie Groves, Robert Oppenheimer, the decision to test the first Atomic Bomb in the desert of New Mexico, and the principals of the test. If you’re a fan of cycling, bring your bike along and join the filmmaking team + the Joyful Riders Club for a pre-screening ride through NorthEast, complete with drinks and music! Meeting point will be at 6pm at [TBD], ending at The Main Cinema just before the 7:30 showtime. Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with the film’s writer-director, Emily Manthei, and its producer, Jenny Jo Stokka.

"The Alsea River" by Joyce Lyon

Groveland Gallery is pleased to present The Alsea River, an exhibition of new drawings by Joyce Lyon, opening October 18. Originally from New York, Lyon has resided in Minnesota for over 50 years. She was a founding member of the Women’s Art Registry of Minnesota (WARM) and has been the recipient of numerous awards, including: three Minnesota State Arts Board Fellowships, a Jerome MCBA Book Arts Grant, and a Fulbright-Hays Grant. Her work has been exhibited and collected throughout the United States for nearly 50 years.
